Lead IT Engineer responsible for IT service requests, servers, network infrastructure, Active Directory, system security, and performance.
Provides technical support for end users and project sites and works to meet ITSM standards and SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Handle IT service requests and incidents, resolving or escalating them according to ITSM practices and SLAs.
- Administer Active Directory, authentication, authorization, and directory services.
- Deploy and update software, hardware, and peripherals across LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Maintain servers, backups, network devices, secure connectivity, and availability.
- Monitor security and performance; implement patches, upgrades, and intrusion-prevention measures.
- Maintain SOPs, knowledge-base articles, incident records, and operational procedures.
- Support end users, train colleagues, and recommend improvements while keeping technical skills current.
- Coordinate with external vendors to resolve complex issues.
- Provide on-site IT support at construction and remote project locations, including CCTV and other site technology.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- At least 10 years of UAE experience, including five or more years as a team lead or manager.
- ITIL Foundation and a technical certification such as Microsoft, Cisco, or Fortigate.
Preferred experience
- Construction or contracting environment experience is preferred.
Work location
- Work location is in person; duties include on-site support at construction and remote project locations.
