QA/QC Engineer

Role overview

Planning and site inspections

• Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents for quality requirements.
• Prepare, review, and implement ITPs; review method statements for quality and constructability.
• Inspect reinforcement and formwork before concrete casting.
• Monitor concrete batching, delivery, slump testing, casting, curing, and cube testing; verify test results and correct nonconformities.
• Inspect masonry, waterproofing, plastering, screeding, tiling, doors, windows, glazing, façade, painting, and finishing works.
• Inspect MEP interfaces affecting civil and architectural work and coordinate with MEP teams.

Materials, corrective actions, and records

• Verify deliveries against approved submittals, conduct material inspections, and witness laboratory and field tests for construction materials.
• Ensure work follows approved shop drawings and method statements.
• Raise NCRs, monitor corrective and preventive actions, and reinspect to verify closure.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and activity-based inspection reports; maintain quality records, checklists, and traceability documentation.

Approvals and handover

• Coordinate consultant inspections and obtain approvals at each construction stage.
• Participate in snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections before handover.
• Verify as-built drawings and support preparation of handover and close-out documents.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of construction QA/QC experience, including at least 4 years as a QA/QC Engineer on projects for reputed developers in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of quality standards for high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, and residential construction.
