Rejlers provides engineering and project services across oil and gas, refining, petrochemical, chemical, renewable energy, and industrial infrastructure sectors.

The role is based in Abu Dhabi Operations and reports to the Head of Discipline – Mechanical & Piping.

Role overview

The posting seeks a Lead Engineer – Rotating and Packages for refinery and onshore/offshore oil and gas projects.

The role provides technical leadership and guidance to engineers and designers.

The overview also refers to design and technical assurance of static equipment activities, which differs from the rotating-equipment title and listed package duties.

Engineering responsibilities

  • Lead engineering activities for compressors, turbines, pumps, blowers, fans, diesel engines, and equipment packages.
  • Review and approve datasheets, specifications, vendor documents, GA drawings, P&IDs, calculations, and material requisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, API standards, ASME codes, ISO requirements, project specifications, safety requirements, and quality objectives.
  • Perform technical bid evaluations and review vendor offers.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, process, electrical, instrumentation, pipeline, and civil departments.
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL reviews, design reviews, FAT/SAT, and performance testing.

Site and delivery responsibilities

  • Support installation, alignment, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup at project sites.
  • Troubleshoot vibration, seal failures, bearing issues, and operational problems.
  • Support reliability improvement and root cause failure analysis.
  • Guide engineers and designers and support timely project execution and delivery of engineering deliverables.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of rotating equipment engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
  • At least 5 years on ADNOC projects or with ADNOC group companies.
  • Strong knowledge of API 610, API 617, API 618, API 614, API 682, ISO 10439, and AGPS.
  • Experience with EPC contractors and PMC environments.
  • Familiarity with ETAP, Bentley, AVEVA, SAP, and MS Office.
  • ADNOC approval is stated as preferred/mandatory, leaving its status unclear.
