Role Overview
Lead the Civil & Structural discipline to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role reports to the assigned Head of Discipline, Civil & Structural.
Lead project design and engineering from planning through execution, including deliverables, reviews, progress control, and resource planning.
Work across multidisciplinary local and overseas projects, including complex Oil & Gas assignments.

Lead the Civil & Structural discipline to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role reports to the assigned Head of Discipline, Civil & Structural.
Lead project design and engineering from planning through execution, including deliverables, reviews, progress control, and resource planning.
Work across multidisciplinary local and overseas projects, including complex Oil & Gas assignments.
Responsibilities
- Direct civil and structural employees and supervise discipline work.
- Coordinate with project managers to resolve issues; report on resources, technical matters, progress, efficiency, and performance.
- Review drawings, design proposals, method statements, and requests for information to maintain technical correctness and quality.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, authorities, and other disciplines; chair team meetings and ensure correspondence, approvals, and records are complete.
- Oversee safety procedures, comply with health and risk requirements, and provide onsite direction and work instructions.
- Measure and record performed work against the programme, prepare progress reports, and support estimates and bids.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- At least 15 years of Oil & Gas experience, including at least 8 years in a lead role.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, and chemical industries; strong communication, leadership, coordination, analytical, and proactive capabilities.
- Willingness to manage project pressure and carry out extensive site surveys.
- Fluent English; UAE local experience is an added value.
- Team player with a hardworking, problem-solving, can-do attitude.
