The Lead Analyst supports contracted consulting and analytical engagements for processing clients, merchants, and government entities.
Engagement areas include revenue optimization, authorization consulting, portfolio health checks, real-time data streaming, and risk management capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop product capabilities and partnerships using authorization, transaction, repayment, and account demographic data, including next-best-action tools.
- Use the data lake to develop AI/ML products that create value for processing clients and revenue for the processor.
- Deliver client analytics consulting against agreed statements of work and manage cost, quality, and timing.
- Create delivery reports and storyboards from analytical outputs.
- Support product development, presales, sales support, client presentations, solution design, proposals and costings, and letters of engagement.
- Build predictive models for outcomes such as risk and marketing using regression, decision trees, and machine learning.
Key requirements
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or MBA; Statistics or Operations Research backgrounds are preferred.
- 1–4 years of analytics team experience; Payments or retail banking experience is preferred.
- Strong business acumen and ability to turn data insights into meaningful business recommendations.
- Expertise in analytical tools such as SAS, R, SQL, Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
- Experience delivering analytics solutions in mid- to large-sized project teams and working in onshore and offshore environments.
- Working knowledge of techniques such as linear and logistic regression, cluster analysis, and market basket analysis is good to have.
- Drive to work in a startup-like environment and deliver business impact in payments through advanced analytics.
