Job purpose

Laundry service and handling

• Collect guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing items from guest rooms; check laundry bags and lists and verify item quantities and condition.
• Tag, sort, transfer, track, and carefully handle garments, uniforms, linen, and other laundry items; report stains, damage, missing items, or irregularities.
• Follow express, same-day, and regular service procedures and deliver clean laundry to the correct room within the requested turnaround time.
• Follow special garment-care instructions and assist with sorting, folding, packing, and preparing laundry for delivery.

Guest service and operations

• Coordinate with Laundry Attendants, Housekeeping, and Front Office; communicate effectively during shift handovers.
• Maintain collection and delivery areas, trolleys, baskets, and equipment; avoid disturbing guests during service.
• Answer guest questions courteously, escalate complaints or service issues, and follow lost-and-found procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and belongings; support supply inventory and peak-period operations.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous hotel laundry, housekeeping, or valet-service experience is preferred; four- or five-star hotel experience is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of guest laundry and garment-handling procedures; good customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
• Physically fit for extended standing and walking, and able to transport laundry bags and trolleys safely.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment and flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Good grooming and personal hygiene, positive team attitude, and ability to work in a multicultural hotel environment.

Safety and service standards

• Follow hotel health, safety, hygiene, and fire-safety standards; handle chemicals and equipment safely and use PPE when required.
• Complete duties within required service standards and turnaround times.
