The Assistant Manager supports launch territory and special-zone operations, 3PL management, and assigned logistics projects.
3PL operations
- Acquire and onboard 3PL companies and monitor operational KPIs and daily performance.
- Resolve supplier field issues, verify invoices and deliverables, and coordinate payment releases with Finance.
- Balance territory supply and demand, activate capacity resources, improve SLA processes, and maintain supplier relationships.
Projects and change management
- Manage assigned logistics projects and regional initiatives, align cross-functional teams, and track timelines, scope, costs, deliverables, and quality.
- Support change readiness with training, workshops, communications, and review of operational change issues.
Stakeholders, budget, and governance
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and represent operations with local and international stakeholders as directed.
- Provide budget inputs, monitor operational spend, and report progress and challenges.
- Follow policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
People management
- Set objectives, support and evaluate direct reports, recruit talent, delegate work, and provide direction and feedback.
- Encourage team participation in improvement, innovation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications and experience
- 4–6 years of experience in logistics, 3PL vendor management, fleet operations, or last-mile delivery.
- Proven experience monitoring 3PL performance, acquiring supply, and tracking fleet KPIs.
- Hands-on project coordination, SLA management, and invoice verification capability.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
