The Laboratory Technician collects and inspects samples using standardized procedures and best practices, and performs regular production-line inspections.
Duties
- Collect, test, and inspect samples and raw materials according to quality standards.
- Record and report results accurately and on time; maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, inventory, and documentation.
- Follow GLP, 5S, safety, SOP, and sanitation requirements.
- Manage product hold, release, or rejection, audits, proficiency testing, and batch traceability.
- Deliver timely QA results supporting product quality and safety and maintain a safe, compliant laboratory.
Qualifications and experience
- High-school qualification.
- One to two years of functional experience.
- Technical certifications are required as applicable; operational training is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of laboratory management, food quality assurance, and laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
