Role overview

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in laboratories related to computer science and computer engineering programs.
• Develop experiment and laboratory materials with faculty; administer lab activities and provide faculty feedback.
• Supervise students, grade lab assignments, and assist with senior design projects.
• Check lab equipment and follow up on orders; support extracurricular activities and other department service duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related area.
• Hands-on ability to install, troubleshoot, maintain, configure, and support lab equipment, computing systems, peripherals, and related software.
• Ability to prepare and test lab exercises, demonstrations, instructional materials, and equipment.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to explain technical concepts, procedures, and safety expectations.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation, lab manuals, setup guides, troubleshooting notes, and usage instructions.
• Sound technical judgment, student support skills, collaboration, accountability, responsiveness, and service orientation.
• Ability to support hardware, software, networking, and emerging computing areas and comply with university procedures, safety requirements, and technical standards.
• Lab management experience is preferred.

• Listed domains include Arena/FlexSim simulation; AR/VR hardware setup and Unity/Blender familiarity; Python, Excel, and Power BI.
• Other listed domains include manufacturing equipment operation and setup, AutoCAD, ergonomics equipment and motion/biometric sensors, and Arduino/Raspberry Pi, sensors, wiring, and data acquisition.
