Role overview

Project delivery and leadership

• Lead project execution from mobilisation through final handover and direct multidisciplinary work teams.
• Develop execution strategies and meet contractual, quality, budget, and programme objectives.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls; monitor milestones and take corrective action.

Client and commercial management

• Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders; lead progress meetings and manage expectations.
• Assume full project P&L responsibility, overseeing budget, cost control, forecasting, procurement, and commercial performance.
• Review variations, claims, risks, and mitigation strategies; allocate resources to support profitability.

Safety, quality, and team development

• Champion safety and QatarEnergy HSE compliance, and ensure construction meets specifications, procedures, and standards.
• Lead and mentor senior project staff, build a collaborative high-performance environment, and drive accountability and professional development.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 20 years in construction, EPC, industrial, energy, or major infrastructure projects, including at least 10 years in senior project leadership.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects exceeding USD 100 million and managing Civil, MEP, Architectural, Fit-Out, and Infrastructure works under EPC or turnkey contracts.
• Current or previous QatarEnergy approval or work experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, project controls, commercial and risk management, and construction methodologies.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.

Desirable qualification

• A master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration (MBA) is highly desirable.
