The QA/QC Manager leads project quality activities to meet QatarEnergy, contractual, and international quality requirements.
Quality management and control
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System in line with QatarEnergy requirements, ISO standards, and company procedures.
- Establish quality objectives, ITPs, method statements, and quality control procedures.
- Ensure construction complies with contract specifications, approved drawings, codes, and standards.
- Lead QA/QC across Civil, MEP, Architectural, Fit-Out, Landscaping, and associated construction work.
- Manage inspections, material approvals, testing, and quality records; monitor subcontractor compliance.
- Review and approve inspection reports, material submittals, method statements, and quality records.
Audits and non-conformance
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate client, consultant, and third-party audits.
- Monitor project quality KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate NCRs, identify root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions, and track closure and lessons learned.
Coordination and leadership
- Serve as primary QA/QC contact for the client, consultants, and third-party inspectors; attend progress meetings and report to senior management and the client.
- Support project teams in resolving quality issues while maintaining schedules.
- Lead and mentor QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and site quality personnel, and ensure personnel follow project quality procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12–15 years of QA/QC experience in construction, industrial, EPC, oil and gas, or major infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years' experience as a QA/QC Manager on large-scale projects.
- Experience managing quality systems across multidisciplinary Civil, MEP, Architectural, and Fit-Out projects.
- Current or previous QatarEnergy approval or work experience is mandatory.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, inspection procedures, material testing, and quality documentation.
- Experience preparing and reviewing ITPs, method statements, NCRs, CAPAs, and audit reports.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
