Role Overview

Key Duties

• Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
• Follow recipes and cooking instructions as directed by senior kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Properly store and label food items, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods.
• Participate in kitchen inventory and restocking activities.
• Learn and adapt to new culinary techniques and recipes.

Qualifications

• Culinary or hospitality education/certification is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage.
• Customer-related experience is an asset.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
