The Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen team with cleanliness, ingredient preparation, and smooth daily operations while following food safety and hygiene standards.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks.
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
- Store food properly and monitor stock levels.
- Receive and organize food and kitchen-supply deliveries.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations; dispose of kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness.
- Assist with packing and plating food as required.
- Support daily kitchen operations and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
Pay
- AED 1,800–2,400 per month.
