Kitchen operations
- Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers.
- Determine food presentation and displays; ensure portions, arrangement, and garnishes meet expectations.
- Monitor food quantities and communicate specials and unavailable items to food and beverage staff.
- Prepare special meals or substitutions, assist kitchen staff, and provide needed items.
- Monitor kitchen and food supplies, maintain food safety logs, and check products against quality specifications.
Team and service standards
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, discipline, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, protect company assets, address guest needs, and support team goals and quality standards.
- The role includes extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- Preferred education: technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
- Preferred related work experience: 4 to 6 years.
- Preferred supervisory experience: at least 2 years.
- No license or certification is listed.
