About Euro Mechanical

Euro Mechanical is an Abu Dhabi-based oil and gas group delivering engineering, construction, and technical services across the energy sector.

The company describes its values as proficiency, reliability, collaboration, and integrity, and emphasizes project safety.

About the Job

The Junior Project Engineer – Electrical supports engineering and project delivery for electrical scopes on oil and gas projects, from design through close-out.

The role is office-based in Abu Dhabi, with site, client, vendor, and FAT visits as project needs require.

The position is intended for an electrical engineer building project-execution experience on EPC work.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate electrical engineering activities through close-out in line with contract scope, specifications, schedule, and client requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate calculations, load lists, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, equipment layouts, lighting, earthing, and wiring documents.
  • Review scopes, standards, drawings, and technical documents; raise clarifications where needed.
  • Manage interfaces with instrumentation, process, mechanical, civil, telecom, procurement, project controls, and construction teams.
  • Handle technical queries, review comments, and document status; record design decisions.
  • Prepare datasheets and material specifications; support technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
  • Coordinate deliverables and approvals with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors; report progress and risks to the Project Manager.
  • Support procurement, construction, QA/QC, and commissioning, including site visits, inspections, testing, and FATs.
  • Contribute to method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, and procedures; help close NCRs and punch items.
  • Coordinate close-out records, including as-builts, O&M manuals, test records, and vendor documents.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least five years of electrical engineering or project execution experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of HV, MV, and LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, cables, lighting, earthing, and protection systems.
  • Experience reviewing calculations, drawings, datasheets, and equipment documents against codes and client standards.
  • Familiarity with material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, document control, and hazardous-area requirements.
  • Clear technical communication and progress-reporting skills.
  • EPC experience is preferred; experience on ADNOC onshore or offshore projects is an advantage.

Why Join Us

  • Work on oil and gas projects across the full lifecycle and gain exposure to clients, vendors, site, and FAT activities.
  • Join a collaborative team emphasizing quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to build a career at an established Abu Dhabi employer.
