Junior Lab Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing routine clinical laboratory tests (hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc.) under supervision.
• Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, etc.) following proper protocols.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of samples and test results.
• Operate basic laboratory equipment and assist in routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and biosafety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in data entry into Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Support senior laboratory staff in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Requirements

• Valid DHA license (mandatory).
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience (hospital or diagnostic center experience preferred).
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety standards.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and standardized protocols strictly.
