Junior Accountant

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journal entries, and supporting documents.
• Maintain general ledger and financial records.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Verify invoices, expenses, receipts, and payment documents.
• Track outstanding customer payments and support collection follow-ups.
• Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files.
• Assist with monthly financial reports, account schedules, and summaries.
• Support VAT documentation, audit preparation, and coordination with operations and administration teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous Junior Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or Finance Assistant experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and basic tax documentation is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar systems is preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple accounting tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
