Junior Accountant

About This Role

The Junior Accountant will support the Finance team in the accurate and timely

processing of financial information across the organization. This role will primarily be

responsible for entering and reconciling supplier invoices, maintaining financial records, and

processing transactions using Microsoft Dynamics. Working closely with senior members of the

team, the successful candidate will receive on-the-job training to develop a strong

understanding of corporate accounting processes and requirements. Over time, the role will

expand to include assisting with day-to-day accounting activities such as account

reconciliations, reporting, and other routine finance operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (completed
• or in progress)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to
• detail
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and collaborate with
• colleagues
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive attitude and enthusiasm to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a general finance
• support role
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or a similar ERP/accounting system
• Progress toward or intention to pursue a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA,
• CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Exposure to month-end processes and basic journal preparation
