Support daily accounting and finance operations for an IT hardware trading and distribution company in Dubai.
The role calls for basic accounting knowledge, numerical skills, and accurate financial recordkeeping in a fast-paced trading environment.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Assist in preparing customer invoices, supplier invoices, and payment vouchers.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer balances.
- Monitor outstanding customer payments and follow up on collections.
- Support inventory-related accounting and stock reconciliation.
- Assist with VAT calculations, documentation, and UAE VAT compliance.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents.
- Assist with monthly closing and financial reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of accounting experience; UAE experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential financial information.
- IT trading, wholesale, or distribution company experience is an advantage.
