Role Overview
Junior Accountant supporting the Finance & Accounts department in day-to-day accounting activities.
Ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, good numerical and analytical skills, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and accounting entries.
- Record daily transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
- Assist in monitoring outstanding payments and following up on receivables.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support VAT calculations, documentation, and filing requirements in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Verify invoices and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external parties regarding accounting-related matters.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master of Commerce (M.Com) is mandatory.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance; freshers with a strong academic background may also apply.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and VAT.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of accounting software or ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Compensation
- Salary: AED 3,500 - AED 4,000 per month.
