• Core Java expertise is essential, along with enterprise application development using Spring and associated frameworks.
• Solution design includes design patterns, API design standards, and high-availability and scalability design.
• Database skills include SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases; integration technologies include REST APIs and Kafka.
• The role calls for cloud and modern platform skills, DevOps automation and CI/CD, testing and quality engineering, and observability and production support.
• Security skills include OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices; performance skills include JVM tuning and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical specifications and design robust, scalable solutions that meet IT standards.
• Lead technical design and build for complex cross-team solutions; review and approve designs and architecture patterns.
• Lead project discovery and high-level design, working with cross-functional teams on proofs of concept and prototypes.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues, promote built-in quality, and conduct root-cause analysis and incident lessons learned.
• Mentor engineers in clean coding, debugging, testing, and code review; develop frameworks and practices that improve quality and productivity.
• Conduct functional, non-functional, and performance testing with automation tools; monitor engineering metrics.
• Prepare cost estimates and business cases, and support solution design, configuration, deployment, and technical-debt remediation.

Workplace and term

• The position is onsite in Dubai, UAE.
• The contract is one year and extendable.

Requirements

• Expertise in Core Java.
