IT Technician

Role overview

End-user and hardware support

• Install and configure Windows, business applications, printers, and scanners; create user accounts, shared folders, and access permissions.
• Provide on-site and remote helpdesk support, and perform data backup and restoration.
• Diagnose laptop and desktop hardware issues, upgrade RAM, replace storage drives, and track recurring faults.

Networking, cabling, and systems

• Install and troubleshoot routers, switches, access points, wireless networks, and site-office IT infrastructure.
• Resolve connectivity issues and support basic fiber connectivity between network devices.
• Pull, terminate, test, label, and organize network cables, data points, racks, and cabinets.
• Install and configure IP cameras and NVRs, including remote viewing, and maintain biometric attendance machines.

IT assets and documentation

• Maintain equipment inventories and device handover and return records; prepare and recover employee equipment.
• Track asset condition, location, serial numbers, and repair history; follow issues and vendor matters through closure.

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on IT support or similar experience.
• Good knowledge of Windows; networking fundamentals including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and switching.
• Practical cable termination and testing experience; working knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, and NVRs.
• Basic fiber optics knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for record-keeping.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills.
• Able to work at heights and on construction sites; willing to travel across the UAE.
• Candidates residing outside Ajman must be willing to relocate; good command of English.

Preferred qualifications

• A valid UAE driving license, fiber splicing experience, Arabic skills, CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or prior construction-industry experience are preferred.

Workplace

• Based in Ajman, with regular travel to project sites across the UAE and work at the head office and sites.
