Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and crimp Cat6 network cables using T568A/T568B configurations.
- Perform basic LAN cabling, cable testing, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Support computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, Wi-Fi, LAN, and internet connectivity issues.
- Assist with network switch, router, and wireless access point installation and configuration.
- Install and configure operating systems, software, and peripheral devices.
- Provide first-level staff support and escalate complex issues to the IT Manager.
- Assist with basic CCTV, access control, and other low-voltage system troubleshooting when required.
- Maintain IT equipment, cabling records, inventory, and technical support logs.
- Follow IT policies, safety procedures, and network cabling standards; perform other assigned IT duties.
Qualifications and skills
- Basic knowledge of Cat6 cable crimping, termination, and testing.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot common IT and connectivity issues.
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and support daily IT operations.
- Previous IT support experience or an IT-related diploma is an advantage.
Compensation
- AED 3,000–4,000 per month.
