IT Support Technician

About This Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance and operational support to the IT Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT equipment and networks, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices such as routers, printers, and scanners.
• Inspect computer hardware including HDDs, keyboards, mouse devices, and other equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Install and configure software, operating systems, and system functions according to company requirements.
• Develop and maintain local area networks to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
• Ensure the security and privacy of company networks and computer systems.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and orientation to users on operating software and computer equipment.
• Organize and schedule system upgrades and maintenance activities while minimizing operational disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through repairs, replacements, and system debugging.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and system updates.
• Identify shortages in IT equipment and coordinate procurement requests when necessary.
• Conduct regular system audits to identify faults and maintain system efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance of IT equipment and software with third-party vendors when required.
• Ensure strict compliance with company Information Security policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Support Technician, IT Assistant, or in a similar IT support role.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Experience installing and configuring operating systems and applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support end users effectively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in network administration or system maintenance is an advantage.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
