IT Specialist & Team Manager (Infrastructure, Systems & Support)

Overview

IT Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the IT support and infrastructure team.
• Set team objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
• Coordinate IT projects, system upgrades, and technology implementations.
• Manage vendor relationships and external service providers.
• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Plan and manage IT budgets, hardware procurement, and software licensing.

Infrastructure & Systems Administration

• Manage and maintain servers, networks, cloud services, and IT infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and related technologies.
• Ensure business continuity through backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures and compliance requirements.

Technical Support & Operations

• Oversee IT helpdesk operations and support escalations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.

Security & Compliance

• Implement security policies and risk mitigation measures.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability management.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Respond to and manage security incidents when required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support experience.
• 2+ years of team leadership or management experience.
• Experience managing enterprise IT environments.

• Backup & Disaster Recovery Solutions

• IT Service Management (ITIL knowledge preferred)

• Microsoft 365 Certifications

• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• ITIL Foundation
