About This Role
IT Assistant (Help Desk & Technical Support)
We are seeking a proactive IT Assistant to provide first-level technical support, maintain IT systems, and ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will assist users with troubleshooting, manage IT assets, and support daily IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Help Desk Support:
Provide first-line support for IT-related issues (in person, phone, or email)
Log and track support tickets; ensure timely resolution
Troubleshoot software, hardware, and connectivity issues
Assist users with system access, password resets, and basic training
Hardware Support:
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of IT equipment
Diagnose and repair hardware faults or coordinate with vendors
Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation
Network Support:
Assist in monitoring and maintaining LAN/WAN networks
Support Wi-Fi setup, connectivity troubleshooting, and network devices (routers, switches)
Assist in basic network configuration and cabling
Ensure network security practices are followed (antivirus updates, access control)
System & Software Support:
Install and update operating systems and applications
Support email systems, office tools, and enterprise software
Assist with data backup and recovery procedures
Administrative Duties:
Maintain IT documentation, user manuals, and system records
Coordinate with vendors for procurement and service support
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures

Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
1–3 years of experience in IT support / help desk role
Basic knowledge of hardware, networking, and operating systems (Windows, basic Linux preferred)
Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and ticketing systems is an advantage
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Experience with printers, scanners, and office IT equipment
Understanding of cybersecurity basics
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple task
