Key Responsibilities
- Account Assistants perform a variety of tasks to support the accounting department, including:
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable:** Processing invoices, payments, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and timely transactions.
- **Financial Record-Keeping:** Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and bank statements.
- **Payroll Support:** Assisting with payroll processing, data entry, calculations, and documentation.
- **Reporting and Analysis:** Preparing financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and assisting with budget tracking and variance analysis.
- **Audit and Compliance:** Organizing documents for audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and resolving discrepancies.
- **Communication:** Responding to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- **Administrative Support:** Filing, data entry, scheduling, and assisting accountants with clerical tasks.
