Inventory Controller – 3PL Warehouse

Role overview

Inventory and warehouse control

• Monitor inventory across receiving, put-away, storage, picking, dispatch, returns, damages, transfers, and counts; reconcile physical, ERP, and WMS stock daily.
• Investigate discrepancies, shortages, excesses, incorrect postings, ageing, and slow-moving stock; keep records by SKU, batch, serial number, and location where applicable.
• Verify inbound quantities and details against purchase orders, packing lists, delivery notes, ASNs, and ERP records; check condition, damage, labels, GRNs, and put-away locations.
• Monitor picking and dispatch accuracy, packing, documents, SLAs, delayed orders, cancellations, failed deliveries, and returned orders.
• Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts, monthly inventory counts, and full physical counts; investigate variances and document count results.
• Monitor 3PL performance, including receiving, put-away, picking, inventory, dispatch, processing time, damages, losses, returns, housekeeping, and handling.
• Track corrective actions, escalate recurring operational issues, and maintain evidence for 3PL claims where applicable.

Systems, goods, and reporting

• Reconcile ERP and WMS records; coordinate corrections with ERP, 3PL, and Finance teams and verify GRNs, transfers, dispatches, returns, adjustments, and damage postings.
• Inspect and categorize damaged and returned goods; maintain registers and prevent returned products from returning to saleable stock without approval.
• Coordinate with Customer Care and Service teams; support warranty documentation and monitor disposal or scrap processes with management approval.
• Monitor spare-parts quantities, issues, returns, service consumption, critical levels, and slow-moving or obsolete parts.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock movements, variances, damages, returns, pending transactions, inventory ageing, and 3PL performance.
• Submit a daily inventory report covering receipts, dispatches, returns, damage, discrepancies, pending orders, adjustments, 3PL issues, corrective actions, and customer-order risks; report major discrepancies immediately.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, business administration, accounting, or a related field.
• Three to five years of inventory control experience; 3PL warehouse experience is strongly preferred.
• KSA/GCC warehouse experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, GRN, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, reconciliation, and cycle counting.
• ERP and WMS experience, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and experience handling high SKU volumes.
• Electronics, appliances, or consumer goods experience is preferred; serial-number-controlled inventory experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently challenge 3PL discrepancies.
• Good English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.

Work location

• Based at the 3PL warehouse; work is in person.
• The controller represents and reports directly to the company, not the 3PL provider.
