Inventory Analyst

Role overview

Inventory control

• Conduct cycle counts, physical checks, audits, and system-to-physical reconciliations.
• Follow the approved Physical Inventory Check Matrix.
• Monitor stock levels, reorder points, replenishment, shortages, excess, and ageing.
• Ensure stock adjustments have manager approval and valid justification.

Analysis and reporting

• Analyse inventory turnover, stock movement, and demand trends.
• Prepare weekly store- and region-wise inventory ageing reports for management.
• Identify process gaps and recommend inventory-control improvements.

Operations and coordination

• Monitor receiving, storage, transfers, and distribution for accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, Operations, Stores, and related departments.
• Liaise with suppliers about availability, deliveries, shortages, discrepancies, and shipment issues.
• Supervise and support inventory personnel where applicable.

Audits and travel

• Conduct inventory visits and audits at stores, warehouses, factories, and offices across the UAE and other regions as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Five to seven years of relevant experience in inventory, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, reconciliation, ageing, stock movement, and replenishment.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP, POS, or inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, detail, and accuracy skills.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE and other regions as required.

Preferred experience

• Experience in retail or multi-location inventory management is preferred.
