Responsibilities

• Develop and present concepts, mood boards, themes, material selections, and visual presentations; prepare sketches, schematic designs, detailed designs, tender/IFT, and IFC drawings.
• Meet clients to gather requirements and obtain feedback and approvals; maintain design schedules, coordinate deliverables, and meet milestones.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist disciplines; review design drawings, details, material specifications, and shop drawings.

Qualifications and experience

• Education in interior design engineering or architecture and at least 10 years of relevant work experience in the GCC.
• At least 10 years of fit-out site experience and on-site supervision.
• Experience with large- and small-scale projects, including commercial, residential, hospitality, education, medical, high-rise, and government projects.
• Familiarity with design sequences CD, SD, DD, IFT, and IFC and a range of design styles and trends.
• Knowledge of codes and standards, mechanical/electrical/structural coordination, consultant-level design review, site investigations, construction review, and shop drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and knowledge of materials, textiles, fabrics, and technical data sheets.

Technical and professional skills

• Extensive knowledge of detailed interior design layouts and drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• 3D visualization using tools such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray or Corona, and Lumion; ability to produce 3D animation and 360-degree renders.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, post-production software, and Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Client presentation, freehand sketching, teamwork, communication, deadline management, time management, problem solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
