Instrumentation & Control Engineer (Data Centers)

This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

We're looking for an Instrument and Controls Designer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for developing Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology, and panel design including panel layout and wiring diagrams. You’ll also manage demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate communication skills.

Must have:

Degree in Engineering

Experience in instrumentation and controls

Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

2+ years of BIM design experience

Experience using BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:

Experience designing data center, semiconductor, and other industrial facilities

Familiarity with controls, electrical panels and cable tray

Familiarity with instrument placement

The base salary range for this position is $58,200.00 to $80,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
