About the team
The Inventory Replenishment and Planning team supports having the right products, quantities, and locations at the right time.
Demand Planning forecasts sales using trends and market intelligence; Inventory Replenishment orders against forecasts, safety stock, lead times, and current inventory.
Inventory Analytics develops reports and dashboards to improve inventory management, reduce costs, and support strategic decisions.
Role summary
The Senior Analyst, Inventory Analytics develops and maintains business-critical reports, dashboards, and data assets for Replenishment and Demand Planning.
The role partners with stakeholders, provides actionable insights, investigates data and reporting issues, and contributes to department initiatives and continuous reporting improvement.
Core responsibilities
- Develop analytical solutions using statistical and quantitative techniques to solve complex business problems and provide recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex business-critical reports, dashboards, and data solutions.
- Use AI tools to develop proofs of concept involving complex data manipulation, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling.
- Manage multiple requests and independently drive projects from problem definition through completion.
- Identify and lead automation opportunities for reporting, analytics, and business processes.
- Collaborate across teams to provide data, insights, and scalable solutions.
- Investigate data and reporting issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure accurate, timely delivery.
Experience and education
- At least 4 years of experience providing analytical solutions to the business.
- At least 2 years of experience in retail analytics.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or Statistics required.
- An MBA or master’s degree in Supply Chain is a plus.
Required skills
- Generate insights from raw data and visualize them using Excel or Power BI.
- Analyze datasets containing millions of rows and perform root-cause analysis.
- Use complex SQL queries for ETL and Python with NumPy and Pandas.
- Proficiency in GCP or other cloud environments and using AI to generate meaningful insights.
- Apply core statistical concepts and understand supply chain and replenishment concepts.
- Communicate, prioritize, and prepare analytical documents for management.
Preferred skills
- Exposure to classical statistical or machine-learning models.
- Exposure to developing AI-powered tools using foundational models.
