HVAC Maintenance Specialist

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect HVAC equipment and perform preventive maintenance; diagnose mechanical, electrical, and cooling-system problems.
• Repair or replace defective components; monitor performance, temperature controls, airflow, and efficiency.
• Clean and maintain filters, coils, ducts, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and related equipment.
• Identify potential failures, recommend corrective action, respond to service requests, and keep inspection and repair records.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and applicable regulations; coordinate with facilities and maintenance teams.
• Recommend improvements to energy efficiency and equipment reliability.

Requirements

• Technical certification, diploma, or equivalent training in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Previous HVAC maintenance, repair, or facilities-services experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation equipment, refrigeration principles, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with HVAC tools, testing equipment, and maintenance procedures; understand workplace safety and relevant environmental requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; able to work independently and with a maintenance team.
• Relevant trade licenses or certifications where required by local regulations.
