Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement thermal engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals and technical requirements.
• Lead thermal-system design, development, testing, and optimization.
• Oversee projects involving heat transfer, thermodynamics, cooling systems, heating equipment, and thermal management technologies.
• Improve energy efficiency, reliability, system performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Guide engineering teams in thermal modeling, simulation, prototype development, and performance testing.
• Establish engineering standards, technical specifications, and design guidelines.
• Oversee feasibility studies, engineering calculations, and performance assessments.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and product development teams on system integration.
• Manage projects, budgets, schedules, and technical resources; review designs, test results, reports, and documentation.
• Resolve complex thermal engineering challenges and ensure compliance with safety requirements, industry standards, and environmental regulations.
• Evaluate new materials, technologies, and methods; build relationships with suppliers, consultants, research institutions, and industry partners.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams; present performance updates, project outcomes, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field; a master’s degree or doctorate is advantageous.
• Extensive experience in thermal systems engineering, mechanical design, thermal management, or a related discipline.
• Proven leadership managing engineering teams and complex technical projects.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermal system design.
• Experience with thermal modeling, simulation tools, engineering calculations, and performance testing.
• Familiarity with relevant CAD, CFD, or engineering simulation software.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency, system reliability, and applicable engineering safety standards.
• Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate complex engineering requirements into practical technical solutions.
