Create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment across construction and landscape projects.
Support regulatory compliance, effective safety measures, incident investigation, and workforce safety awareness.
Help mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and promote safety and environmental responsibility.
Duties
- Monitor work sites for safe conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Assist the HSE Officer and help minimize unsafe acts and conditions on site.
- Monitor workforce compliance with in-house safety rules and applicable safety requirements and standards.
- Investigate accidents and complaints; inspect equipment and machinery for compliance, taking photographs when required.
- Assess protective equipment and ensure employees have what they need to work safely.
- Prepare HSE reports and monitor project activities for adherence to health and safety, quality, and environmental systems and plans.
- Conduct internal worker training and perform other duties within scope as assigned.
Education and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
