Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and standards; conduct workplace and site inspections and identify hazards.
- Monitor UAE HSE regulatory compliance; investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
- Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions; conduct toolbox talks, briefings, and awareness sessions.
- Ensure appropriate PPE and safety controls; monitor housekeeping, fire safety, equipment safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Support emergency response and evacuation procedures; maintain HSE, inspection, incident, and compliance records.
- Coordinate with departments to resolve safety concerns and close observations; assist with HSE audits and promote continuous improvement.
- Perform other HSE-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- NEBOSH qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum two years of relevant Health & Safety experience; UAE experience is preferred.
- Ability to conduct safety training and awareness sessions effectively.
- Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented approach to workplace safety.
- ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 knowledge, including internal audit experience.
