Role purpose
Act as the restaurant’s ambassador, serving guests in person and by telephone and supporting guest satisfaction.
Key duties
- Work with colleagues to ensure timely service and smooth operations.
- Follow hotel policies and standard operating procedures for service, operations, discipline, and grooming.
- Welcome guests warmly and maintain professional telephone etiquette and knowledge of reservation procedures.
- Know the restaurant and hotel services; greet and seat guests to create a welcoming experience.
- Keep the restaurant entrance covered and attractive, and ensure tables are clean and fully set before seating guests.
- Seek guest feedback, report problems to outlet managers, and resolve issues promptly when possible.
- Assist with service as needed and relieve Cashiers during breaks.
Requirements
- Interact with guests professionally, warmly, courteously, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- Understand and adhere to hotel policies and standard operating procedures for guest service, operations, personal discipline, and grooming.
- Maintain professional telephone etiquette and understand reservation policies and procedures.
- Be familiar with services offered in the restaurant and throughout the hotel.
