The Bartender creates guest experiences through beverage service and mixology.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails and classic drinks.
- Provide friendly, efficient, professional service and respond promptly to guest needs.
- Keep the bar clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Process drink orders quickly and accurately while multitasking.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for seamless food and beverage service.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
- Comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
- Track beverage trends and suggest innovative drink ideas.
- Follow local liquor laws and regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of bartending or related food and beverage operations experience.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation.
- Proficiency with bar equipment and tools.
- Strong multitasking ability and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service focus.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Available for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of local liquor laws and regulations in Dubai.
- Responsible alcohol service certification, such as TIPS or equivalent, is preferred.
