Role overview

Guest welcome and seating

• Welcome arriving guests professionally and acknowledge departing guests courteously.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists; support table allocation and seating based on capacity and service readiness.
• Give guests accurate wait-time information and update them about delays.
• Coordinate seating flow with managers and service teams.

Guest communication and front desk

• Answer guest calls and basic enquiries; escort guests to tables and present menus when needed.
• Share guest requests, preferences, special occasions, and seating needs with the floor team.
• Escalate complaints and operational issues to the manager on duty.
• Keep the host stand and waiting area clean and guest-ready, and maintain accurate reservation records and guest notes.

Candidate requirements

• 1–3 years’ experience in a host/hostess, reception, guest-facing, or front-of-house role in hospitality, restaurant, café, or hotel environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, confident guest-facing manner.
• Reservation-platform or booking-system experience is an advantage.
• Able to remain calm, organized, and professional under pressure during busy service periods.
• Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage.

Work setting

• Onsite, guest-facing front-of-house role.
