Full-time, non-management Host/Hostess position at Aloft Hotels in Dubai.
The role is not remote and is based at East Crescent, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
Guest reception and dining-room service
- Welcome guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
- Guide guests through the dining room and assist with their needs.
- Arrange tables and chairs, adapt layouts, and manage seating for groups with specific needs.
- Check that seating is appropriate and tables have clean napkins, silverware, and other standard items.
- Ensure menus are sufficient, current, clean, and in good condition.
- Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being in dining areas.
Standards and teamwork
- Maintain clean work areas throughout the day and follow ongoing cleaning procedures.
- Follow safety policies, report accidents, injuries, and hazards, and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, complete uniform and professional appearance; protect confidential information and company property.
- Welcome guests according to brand standards and communicate clearly and courteously, including by telephone.
- Build constructive working relationships, support colleagues, and respond appropriately to their concerns.
- Meet quality standards and perform other duties appropriate to the position as assigned by managers.
Qualifications and physical requirements
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
- Prior experience in a restaurant environment is recommended.
- A secondary-school diploma or equivalent is recommended; no license or certification is specified.
- Able to stand, sit, and move for extended periods and independently handle loads up to 4.5 kg.
