Full-time, non-management Host/Hostess position in Food and Beverage & Culinary.
The role is based at Aloft Hotels in East Crescent, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
Guest and dining-room service
- Welcome guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
- Guide guests through dining areas and provide assistance as needed.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and place settings, including for groups with special needs.
- Check that menus and place settings are clean, complete, and current.
- Maintain clean work areas and monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Standards and teamwork
- Follow company and safety procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company property, and meet quality standards.
- Communicate professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and support colleagues in achieving common goals.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Desirable qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is desirable.
- Related work experience and supervisory experience are not required.
- Prior experience in food-service settings is desirable.
- No license or certification is listed as required.
