Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, determine party size, and seat guests at clean, available tables with clean, current menus.
- Guide guests through dining areas and assist them as needed.
- Arrange tables, chairs, cutlery, and seating for groups with special needs.
- Check that place settings have appropriate clean cutlery, napkins, and other standard items; ensure menus are clean and complete.
- Maintain work-area cleanliness and monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest wellbeing in dining areas.
- Follow safety and company procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company property, communicate professionally, and support team service standards.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance, and perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Desirable qualifications
- A secondary school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable.
- Prior experience in food-service settings is desirable; related work experience is not required.
- No supervisory experience is required; no license or certification is specified.
