Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven **Business Development Officer (BDO)** to join our healthcare/homecare company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, increasing revenue, expanding the company’s client base, and strengthening the company’s presence in the healthcare and homecare market.
The role requires strong experience in healthcare business development, relationship management, sales planning, lead generation, and partnership development with hospitals, clinics, doctors, laboratories, pharmacies, corporate clients, insurance providers, and referral partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for healthcare and homecare services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, medical centers, doctors, specialists, pharmacies, laboratories, corporate clients, insurance partners, and referral sources.
- Promote company services such as home nursing, elderly care, doctor-on-call, physiotherapy, lab tests at home, post-operative care, medical assistance, wellness services, and long-term homecare packages.
- Develop strategies to increase client acquisition, referrals, partnerships, and revenue.
- Research market trends, competitor activities, pricing, patient demand, and healthcare service opportunities.
- Identify new service areas, target markets, corporate opportunities, and potential partnership channels.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, events, meetings, corporate visits, and healthcare partnerships.
- Convert business opportunities into confirmed clients, agreements, partnerships, and revenue-generating accounts.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets.
- Establish partnerships with hospitals, clinics, doctors, diagnostic centers, pharmacies, laboratories, rehabilitation centers, corporate organizations, and community groups.
- Develop referral networks to increase patient enquiries and service bookings.
- Negotiate partnership terms, service agreements, referral arrangements, and corporate healthcare packages.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key partners and ensure consistent communication.
- Represent the company in business meetings, healthcare events, exhibitions, networking sessions, and corporate presentations.
- Identify opportunities for joint campaigns, corporate wellness programs, patient referral agreements, and community healthcare initiatives.
- Present company services professionally to potential clients, families, corporate customers, healthcare providers, and referral partners.
- Understand client needs and recommend suitable healthcare or homecare solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, service packages, quotations, contracts, and business presentations.
- Support high-value client conversions and corporate account development.
- Follow up with prospects regularly to move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Work with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and partners.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities where appropriate and ethical.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in the healthcare and homecare sector.
- Analyze competitor services, pricing, marketing activities, partnerships, and customer trends.
- Provide management with insights on market demand, service gaps, and potential new revenue streams.
- Support the development of business plans, sales strategies, healthcare packages, and promotional offers.
- Recommend improvements to service positioning, pricing, client experience, and partnership strategy.
- Coordinate with operations, doctors, nurses, care coordinators, customer service, marketing, billing, and management teams.
- Ensure all confirmed business opportunities are properly handed over to the relevant operational departments.
- Communicate client and partner requirements clearly to internal teams.
- Support smooth service delivery for corporate clients, partner referrals, and high-value accounts.
- Work with marketing teams to plan campaigns that support business development goals.
- Provide feedback from clients and partners to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, meetings, proposals, follow-ups, partnerships, and conversions.
- Update CRM systems, sales trackers, business development reports, and partner databases.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on business development activities, revenue progress, pipeline status, and partnership performance.
- Track conversion rates, referral sources, lost opportunities, market feedback, and competitor insights.
- Present business development updates, growth plans, and performance reports to senior management.
- Monitor achievement of targets and recommend corrective actions when required.
- Ensure all business development activities follow company policies, healthcare regulations, advertising standards, patient confidentiality requirements, and ethical sales practices.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, partners, patients, and internal teams.
- Ensure sensitive client, patient, and partner information is handled confidentially.
- Represent the company professionally in all external meetings, events, and partnership discussions.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, audits, and quality improvement initiatives when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or client acquisition within the healthcare, homecare, medical, clinic, hospital, laboratory, pharmacy, or insurance sector is preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare services, homecare operations, patient needs, and referral-based business models.
- Proven ability to generate leads, build partnerships, negotiate agreements, and achieve revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong professional network within the healthcare industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple prospects, and follow up consistently.
- Good knowledge of CRM systems, sales reporting, Microsoft Office, and business presentations.
- Proficiency in English is required; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
- UAE healthcare/homecare experience is preferred.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Existing network with hospitals, clinics, doctors, laboratories, pharmacies, insurance providers, corporate clients, or community organizations.
- Experience in home nursing, doctor-on-call, physiotherapy, lab-at-home, elderly care, rehabilitation, or corporate healthcare services.
