The
Head of Marketing
will lead the development and execution of the company’s marketing, communications, and brand strategy across the UAE. Representing one of the UAE’s leading healthcare distributors, this role is responsible for both the corporate brand and a diverse portfolio spanning pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, health foods, and consumer wellness categories, driving brand visibility, reputation, customer engagement, and sustainable business growth across healthcare and consumer channels.
The role oversees corporate communications, public relations, omnichannel marketing, digital engagement, trade marketing, educational initiatives, exhibitions, and customer engagement programs. Working closely with global brand partners, healthcare professionals, retailers, e-commerce platforms, Sales, Business Development, and senior leadership, the Head of Marketing will ensure strong alignment between strategic objectives and market execution while strengthening the company’s position as a trusted healthcare and wellness partner.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and commercially minded marketing leader with experience operating within healthcare, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, consumer health, or similarly regulated industries.
They will bring expertise in brand building, communications, stakeholder engagement, and integrated marketing, with the ability to translate marketing investment into measurable business impact.
Scope
- Lead the annual and long-term marketing strategy across a diverse portfolio spanning pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, health foods, and consumer wellness categories.
- Drive brand growth, positioning, and visibility across healthcare, pharmacy, retail, e-commerce, digital, trade, events, and corporate channels.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing plans, campaign calendars, trade initiatives, digital programs, and customer engagement activities aligned to commercial priorities.
- Serve as the primary marketing partner for global principals, leading annual marketing plans, co-funded initiatives, launching, approvals, performance reviews, and strategic alignment.
- Oversee corporate communications, public relations, internal and external communications, corporate branding, digital platforms, social media, and reputation management.
- Lead healthcare professional engagement, educational initiatives, pharmacist training programs, consumer outreach activities, and customer engagement programs.
- Drive go-to-market strategies for new brands and product launches, including positioning, launch planning, sales enablement, and post-launch performance reviews.
- Build and strengthen relationships with principals, retailers, healthcare institutions, industry stakeholders, agencies, and strategic partners.
- Leverage market intelligence, customer insights, category trends, and performance analytics to identify opportunities and guide strategic decision-making.
- Lead the marketing function, including budget planning, ROI-based investment decisions, agency management, team development, capability building, and performance management to deliver measurable business impact.
- Build marketing capability across the function by improving team skills, ways of working, planning discipline, reporting standards, and cross-functional collaboration.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You understand how marketing contributes to revenue growth, sell-out, customer engagement, portfolio expansion, and market share.
- You can balance strategy with execution, without losing sight of commercial outcomes.
- You have worked across healthcare, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, FMCG, retail, distribution, or similar multi-brand environments.
- You can manage principals, agencies, internal stakeholders, commercial teams, and senior leadership with confidence.
- You know how to use market data, shopper insights, customer feedback, digital performance, and campaign results to improve decisions.
- You can lead a team with clarity, structure, accountability, and practical follow-up.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Science, or a related field. MBA required.
- 15+ years of marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, consumer health, wellness, or similarly regulated industries.
- Experience working with regulated products, product claims, principal guidelines, and advertising approval processes.
- Strong track record managing multi-brand portfolios, product launch, annual marketing plans, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience leading omnichannel marketing across healthcare, retail, pharmacy, trade, digital, and customer engagement channels.
- Experience working with global brand partners and managing strategic stakeholder relationships.
- Strong understanding of brand management, trade marketing, corporate communications, and digital marketing.
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate marketing investments into measurable business results.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
- UAE/GCC market experience is strongly preferred.
- This Role May Not Be the Right Fit If
- You prefer a purely creative marketing role without strong commercial accountability.
- You are not comfortable working across multiple brands, channels, stakeholders, and priorities.
- You prefer strategy-only roles and do not want to stay close to execution, performance, and follow-up.
- You have limited exposure to trade, retail, pharmacy, e-commerce, or principal-led brand environments.
