Responsibilities
- Market Oversight and Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor trading activities to detect and prevent market manipulation, insider trading, fraud, and other unfair practices.
- Ensure that all market participants comply with the rules and regulations governing the market.
- Analyze market data and trends to identify irregularities or suspicious activities.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the market operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities to implement new regulations and guidelines.
- Oversee the enforcement of market rules and take corrective actions when violations occur.
- Investigation and Enforcement:
- Lead investigations into suspected market abuses or breaches of regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to impose sanctions, penalties or other disciplinary measures.
- Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory bodies or law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Policy Development and Implementation:
- Participate in the development and review of market rules, policies, and procedures.
- Recommend improvements to enhance market transparency, efficiency, and fairness.
- Ensure that market participants are informed about regulatory changes and compliance requirements.
