About the Role:
The Head of Lower Elementary (Grade 1 & 2) at SAIS is responsible for overseeing the operations and educational programs specifically designed for students (6-7 years).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall coordination and management of the lower elementary section activities and ensuring all the programs are running smoothly, efficiently, and effectively daily.
- Make sure all students are provided with adequate support for growth and development through guidance, counseling, and relevant training.
- Maintain an effective communication system between the students and parents.
- Make sure the learning facilities are clean, hygienic, and safe for learning.
- Monitor teachers and ensure proper coverage of the syllabus throughout the year.
- Determine annual objectives for the instructional and extracurricular programs.
- Preserve academic and other school records.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent, or in Educational Leadership
- Practical experience in the same role is required.
- Excellent knowledge of the elementary and lower primary curriculum content.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Outstanding coaching and mentoring skills for new teachers.
