Role overview

Strategy and integration delivery

• Develop and execute integration strategy and the target operating model.
• Set integration priorities, sequencing, and transformation objectives across business functions; challenge plans for strategic alignment.
• Lead product and customer proposition integration, portfolio optimization, pricing harmonization, and channel integration.
• Drive revenue, customer, operational, and cost synergies; validate business cases and assumptions and monitor benefits realization.
• Lead integration and transformation initiatives across operations, customer service, contact centre, finance, HR, procurement, compliance, and support functions.
• Standardize processes, controls, governance, and service delivery models; approve target-state operating models and transformation initiatives.

Governance, risk, and value realization

• Lead governance forums and manage relationships with senior executives, business leaders, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, dependencies, and benefits; report to the Head of Integration and support executive communications and Board-level reporting.
• Resolve cross-functional conflicts, competing priorities, delivery challenges, and strategic blockers.
• Oversee integration risks and embed regulatory, compliance, audit, legal, conduct, and operational resilience obligations.
• Sponsor digitization, automation, process simplification, resource optimization, and cost synergies.
• Provide data-driven insights, business cases, progress reporting, and recommendations; ensure delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

Experience and qualifications

• 18+ years of experience, including 8+ years in banking or financial services and 5+ years leading large transformation or integration programs.
• Merger and acquisition integration experience is mandatory.
• Prior retail banking experience covering cards, loans, and liabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Consultancy background is preferred; MBA is preferred.
• PMP / PRINCE2 and Agile certification (CSM / SAFe) are listed; Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
