About This Role

Position Overview

RIKAS Hospitality Group is seeking a polished, charismatic, and highly organized Head Hostess to join our new festive dining concept. The Head Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for leading the host team, managing reservations, and ensuring a warm, seamless, and memorable arrival experience that sets the tone for the entire guest journey.

This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a natural ability to manage high guest volumes in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Reception & Experience

  • Welcome and engage guests with warmth, professionalism, and confidence.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient guest arrival, seating, and departure experience.
  • Set the tone for the guest journey by delivering a memorable first impression.
  • Handle guest preferences, special requests, and VIP arrivals with care and attention.
  • Manage guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.

Reservations & Floor Management

  • Oversee daily reservations, walk-ins, and waitlist management.
  • Coordinate table allocations in collaboration with management and service teams.
  • Optimize seating flow to ensure efficient table turnover and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate reservation records using the POS/reservation system.
  • Communicate effectively with the service and management teams regarding covers and timing.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and supervise the hostess team.
  • Conduct daily briefings to align the team on reservations, VIPs, and operational updates.
  • Ensure team grooming, uniform standards, and professionalism at all times.
  • Motivate the team to maintain a welcoming and energetic front-of-house presence.

Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a key link between guests, management, and service teams.
  • Coordinate closely with the floor team to ensure smooth guest flow.
  • Communicate peak periods and operational challenges effectively to management.

Operational Standards

  • Ensure the host stand and reception area are always presentable and organized.
  • Maintain cleanliness, signage, menus, and guest-facing materials.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures related to host operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within upscale, lifestyle, or high-volume dining venues.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in busy, high-pressure environments.
  • Professional appearance and confident personality.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Profile

  • Naturally warm, charismatic, and guest-focused personality.
  • Strong understanding of luxury or festive hospitality environments.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead by example and represent the brand with elegance and energy.
