Position Overview

RIKAS Hospitality Group is seeking a motivated and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) to join our new festive dining concept.

The DCDP will support the Chef de Partie in a specific kitchen section, ensuring smooth daily operations, high food quality, and consistent preparation standards.

This role is ideal for a strong culinary professional looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, high-energy, and quality-driven kitchen environment.

Kitchen Preparation & Production

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes within the assigned section.
  • Ensure all mise en place is completed accurately and on time for service.
  • Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines consistently.
  • Support daily production for à la carte service, events, and special menus.

Section Support

  • Work closely with the Chef de Partie to ensure smooth operation of the section.
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks during service periods.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Ensure efficient coordination with other kitchen sections.

Quality & Hygiene Standards

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
  • Follow HACCP and kitchen safety procedures strictly.
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of food products (FIFO system).
  • Report any issues with quality, equipment, or stock to senior chefs.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Support and guide Commis Chefs when required.
  • Communicate effectively with the Chef de Partie and kitchen team during service.
  • Contribute to a positive, disciplined, and professional kitchen environment.

Operational Support

  • Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen deliveries.
  • Help monitor stock usage and reduce wastage.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is handled properly and maintained.
  • Support in basic preparation for menu development or specials when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in professional kitchens.
  • Experience in upscale, lifestyle, or high-volume restaurants is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of international cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of hygiene, safety, and kitchen discipline.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Passionate about cooking and hospitality.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong desire to grow within the culinary field.
  • Calm and focused under pressure.
  • Experience in festive, lifestyle, or dynamic restaurant concepts is an advantage.
