Bar Manager

Position Overview

Bar Operations

• Oversee the daily operations of the bar and ensure smooth service execution.
• Maintain high standards of beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Ensure efficient coordination between the bar and floor teams during service.
• Monitor bar setup, cleanliness, stock levels, and operational readiness at all times.
• Develop and maintain service procedures and operational standards.

Beverage Program

• Support the development and implementation of cocktail menus and beverage offerings.
• Ensure deep knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, champagnes, and premium beverages.
• Monitor beverage trends and contribute creative ideas to enhance the guest experience.
• Ensure all drinks are prepared according to brand standards and recipes.

Team Leadership & Training

• Lead, motivate, and manage the bar team to deliver exceptional service.
• Recruit, train, and develop bartenders and bar support staff.
• Conduct regular training sessions on product knowledge, upselling, and service standards.
• Ensure team grooming, discipline, and performance standards are maintained.

Guest Experience

• Create a lively, engaging, and welcoming bar atmosphere.
• Interact with guests professionally and build strong guest relationships.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and memorable experiences.

Financial & Inventory Management

• Monitor beverage cost, stock control, and wastage management.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and coordinate ordering requirements.
• Support achieving revenue targets and maximizing beverage sales.
• Ensure proper cash handling and POS procedures are followed.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain responsible alcohol service standards in line with UAE regulations.
• Ensure all operational procedures comply with RIKAS Group policies and standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in bar operations, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience within upscale, luxury, lifestyle, or festive dining venues.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar trends.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and guest engagement abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
